Definition of Ironic

Local news story from Savannah.

Witnesses say bicyclist riding to AA hit by drunk driver

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Friends say Robert Ochoa was hit by a drunk driver Wednesday night on Abercon Street near Wilshire Blvd.

His bike was a mangled mess and he was loaded into an ambulance with what friends say looks like a broken arm and dislocated shoulder.

Witnesses say the driver was all over the road and appeared intoxicated.

"He hit the guy on the bike and he was swerving like he was drinking. He hit the curb," witness Frances Sanchez.

Friends say Ochoa was trying to get his life on track.

"He was on his way to an AA meeting riding his bike when he got hit by a drunk driver. That is ironic to say the least," Ochoa's friend Jeff Lansford said.

Police say a witness was able to write down the tag number for the vehicle. They say they are searching for the driver.

people continually make the statements of "drunk driver", when describing iratic driving. 90percent of the time it is actually something else.... phones, make up, reading, and somtimes under the influance of doctor perscribed meds. but you continually hear drunk driving associated with bad driving...

Why didn't this appear in the "recent posts?" Do I need to check every board now?

Anyway, he should have called AAA.
